Commercial acoustic wall panels

What NRC do commercial acoustic panels need?
It depends on the room. Open offices and conference rooms typically call for NRC 0.70–0.85 assemblies, while performance and worship spaces are engineered to a target reverberation time rather than a single panel value. Stretched fabric with 1" fiberglass infill commonly lands near NRC 0.80; 2" infill pushes higher, especially at low frequencies.
What is the difference between acoustic baffles and acoustic clouds?
Baffles hang vertically and absorb on both faces, which suits open ceilings with exposed structure. Clouds hang horizontally below the deck and work over a defined zone, which suits meeting areas and lobbies where you also want a visual ceiling plane.
Are stretched fabric wall panels the same as acoustic panels?
Not quite. Stretched fabric systems are site-built: perimeter track is fastened to the substrate, acoustic infill is set inside, and fabric is tucked into the track. That produces seamless, large-format, curved, or wall-to-wall acoustic surfaces that pre-fabricated panels cannot produce, and it lets the fabric selection stay open until late in the job.
Do acoustic panels soundproof a room?
No. Absorptive treatment controls reverberation and clarity inside a room. Blocking sound between rooms is a mass, sealing, and partition-assembly problem. If the complaint is hearing the neighboring office, panels are the wrong fix and we will tell you so.
